![]() ![]() Still, the game is very enjoyable, and is probably worth buying just to experience the flashy graphics and unique fusion of strategy and hack-and-slash. There's also a certain amount of grinding tha t may or may not be necessary to progress once "late-game" hits (I don't actually know for sure, as I haven't gotten to that point yet), which, compounded with the fact that the game likely starts to become stale after a couple dozen hours of play, might be a turn-off to some people. The story is rather lacking in terms of real depth and development, which didn't surprise me much. Of course, the game is not without its flaws. The gameplay is definitely the most enjoyable part- the aforementioned graphics are exciting the Weapon Triangle, type advantage/disadvantages, and Pair Up system add an excellent strategy element to what would be just a kill-everything fighting game and the ability to switch between and command characters adds more mulitasking and strategy to the mix. I've never really played Fire Emblem, so I didn't really know the characters much outside of Super Smash Bros, but I was instantly hooked on the smooth character designs and flashy fighting sequences. Awesome game- a few flaws, but overall great (must buy for Fire Emblem fans!)īought this game on a whim, was not disappointed. ![]()
